DESCRIPTION

Nettle makes a surprisingly gentle tea: green, grassy and smooth, with a clean finish. Ours is grown organically in the Parnonas mountains of the Peloponnese and dried as whole leaves, with nothing added. The Great Taste judges described it as "a clean, natural, delicate flavour full of vegetable and grassy taste, which finishes with sweetness". It's naturally caffeine-free.

How to use

Use one to two teaspoons per cup. Pour over hot water and steep for 5 to 7 minutes, then strain. Enjoy it hot, plain or with a slice of lemon, or chill it and pour over ice. It also blends well with mint or lemon balm for a brighter cup.

Tastes like a healthy tea

I was curious about nettle leaf tea, and decided to try it. I hear that it helps with inflammation, blood sugar, and allergies. I made a cup of tea with almost a teaspoon of tea leaves since I wasn't sure how much 2grams are. I was afraid I wouldn't like the taste, but it was pleasantly mild. It reminds me of mint tea, without the strong minty taste. I don't know if I'll notice any changes from drinking it, but it's a good tea to put in my rotation. I will also be making it for my husband who is watching his blood sugar levels. I also like the fact that it's organic.

Nice subtle tea.

This is the first time I have had nettle tea in any form and so have nothing to compare it to–other than other herbal teas in general. I enjoy its light, earthy, somewhat nutty flavor and aroma. I found the texture to be substantive enough to steep well without a lot of fines or residue. Of course, those tend to settle at the bottom of any package and may emerge later. I appreciate the resealable package.

Refreshing Healthy Tea-Great Iced

When Spring and Fall allergies hit, I always drink nettle tea. One of the key health benefits is helping with seasonal (and other) allergies. This tea tastes and smells amazing. That alone helps with the allergies. The texture of the leaves is designed for tea, rather than the larger leaves I get at the health store to make my own tea. This tastes better and is definitely higher quality tea than what I make from the bulk bin. I love the see-through container so you can see the size, appearance, and quality of the leaves you're getting.

Surprisingly good tasting with no added flavors

This tea is surprisingly good on its own. I didn’t need to add anything to it. The tea has a nice, balanced flavor that is not sweet or bitter. I followed the instructions and brewed for 10 minutes in a small pot. The tea is smooth tasting and tastes good warm or cold. It smells nice too. It comes in a resealable bag that looks sound enough to keep it in and no need to put in into another container to keep it fresh. I have been looking for a replacement for coffee and have tried this tea for the last few weeks and it has been enough for me to not only feel good physically, but mentally. I like that it is certified organic also. If you have a loose leaf tea diffuser then you are set. I prefer using loose leaf instead of bags so this works out well and is just as easy to use. For the price, this is definitely going to become part of my morning ritual. If you like loose leaf tea and are looking for something a little different then it is worth trying.

Earthy and delicious nettle tea

This loose leaf tea is Organic and comes from Greece in an eco-friendly, easily resealable bag. It has a delicate aroma and is easy to brew. I use a metal infuser and boiling water in a pot, and let it steep for 5-6 minutes. The tea is aromatic with a flavorful earthy taste that is wonderful either straight or with a drop of honey. Nettle tea has well known health benefits, and finding it in Organic form is a huge plus. It contains healthy nutrients beneficial to alleviate seasonal allergy symptoms, inflammation, and more. This is one of the best nettle teas I have tried, easy five stars.

Organic, single-source teas with eco-friendly packaging

Increasingly, we've been moving toward all organic, single-source herbs, spices, & teas, so discovering APSOGO's line was a welcome surprise! All their products come in eco-friendly packaging, which is resealable - allowing you to work straight from the bag. Their Nettle Tea smells earthy upon opening & has a smooth taste. In fairness, we have no prior experience with Nettle Tea, so we don't have a comparison. Nevertheless, we're pleased with this one. For organic, single-source tea with eco-friendly packaging, this Nettle Tea is a good value!

Mild, earthy organic nettle tea with clean flavor

I’ve been enjoying this loose leaf nettle tea as part of my regular tea rotation. The flavor is mild and earthy without being overly grassy or bitter, even when steeped for around 10 minutes. The leaf quality and texture looks good, with visible cut leaves rather than powder or dust, and it brews into a clean-tasting tea. Since it’s caffeine-free, it works well any time of day. I also appreciate that it’s organic and sourced from Greece, which gives it a more premium feel compared to some generic bulk herbal teas. The value for money feels a bit on the expensive side for the amount provided. Still, the quality and smooth flavor make it an enjoyable herbal tea overall.

Great Nettle Tea!

I really liked this nettle tea. The flavor is earthy and green, but not bitter or harsh. Some nettle teas taste dusty or too grassy to me, but this one brews smoother and cleaner. The loose leaves look much better than what you usually get in tea bags. You can see actual cut leaves, not just powder at the bottom of the pouch. I also like being able to control the strength. A lighter brew tastes mild and fresh, while a stronger cup has a deeper herbal taste. The pouch is practical too. It seals well, keeps the tea fresh, and does not take up much space. The 1.76 oz size may sound small, but with loose leaf tea, you do not need much per cup. I drink it plain most of the time, but it also works well with a little honey or lemon. Since it is caffeine-free, you can have it later in the day without worrying about feeling wired. Overall, this organic nettle tea feels like a good quality tea. It tastes clean, the leaves look fresh, and the packaging works well. I would buy it again.

High Quality Organic Nettle Leaf From Greece

This organic Greek nettle leaf seems very high quality to me. It was made in Greece and came in a one point seven six ounce bag. I noticed the bag was an opaque brown color but had a transparent plastic strip where the leaf was visible. The nettle leaf felt a little stiffer and had smaller pieces rather than whole leaves. I saw only minimal small stems and the mix was almost completely leaf. The color was a very earthy evergreen green. I liked that the scent was strong and rich. The flavor was very delicious to me and tasted very herby and clean. It had a very accurate nettle taste.

Nice earthy flavor

I am excited to try this herbal tea for my daily drink and overall choice of beneficial herbs. The contents are dry and fresh, and come in a resealable envelope that shows the contents. The flavor is earthy and more pleasant than I had expected. I still prefer to add a bit of honey and even mix this with some lemon juice or even other teas for a home blend of flavors and benefits. An excellent choice for organic herbal experience. An excellent value.

Smooth, Clean Everyday Tea

I’ve been really enjoying this Greek nettle tea. The flavor is mild, earthy, and surprisingly smooth; none of the harsh or bitter taste I’ve had with some other nettle teas. It really does have a light, almost floral note that reminds me a bit of jasmine or a soft oolong, but much more subtle. I like that it’s loose leaf instead of tea bags. The leaves look whole and fresh, and you can tell the quality is better than the dusty stuff you often get in bags. It also lets you control how strong you want your tea, which is a nice bonus. A little goes a long way, so it feels like good value too. Since it’s caffeine-free, I’ve been drinking it in the evenings without any issues. It’s calming without being heavy. The resealable pouch is also convenient and keeps everything fresh. Overall, this is a clean, easy-to-drink herbal tea that works well for daily use. If you like gentle, natural flavors, this is a solid pick.

Greek-Grown Organic Nettle Tea

This nettle tea has a fairly pleasant, slightly earthy taste without being overwhelming or tasting too strongly even after steeping for 10 minutes. If you enjoy natural green tea and are interested in the potential health benefits of nettle tea, this is a decent option to try out. Some of the leaves were fine enough to go through two fine mesh sieves, so if sediment in tea bothers you then you may want to consider filtering through another medium (e.g. coffee filter, muslin cloth, etc.) to catch those. The price is quite steep compared to other similar organic offerings, however, costing nearly $7/oz at time of review whereas other organic nettle teas can be purchased for below $2/oz. If you're specifically looking for organic nettle tea from Greece, though, this is a good choice.

Clean, Earthy, and a Solid Herbal Staple

I’m giving this 4 out of 5 stars. It’s a good quality nettle tea and does exactly what you’d expect. The leaves look well-sourced, and the flavor is that classic earthy, slightly grassy taste you get with nettle. It’s not overpowering, just clean and simple. The eco pouch is a nice touch too. I drink nettle tea mostly for two reasons. First, it’s great for overall wellness. It’s packed with nutrients and feels like an easy way to support your body without overthinking it. Second, I like it for its calming, caffeine-free vibe. It’s something I can drink anytime, especially in the evening, without it messing with sleep. Overall, it’s a solid herbal tea. Nothing fancy, just good quality and reliable if you already like nettle.

Delicious nettle loose leaf tea

I love that it comes with so much tea in the bag. It's a great value. The bag is receivable which makes it easy to use and dispense. You get a lot of loose leaf tea that goes into my diffuser well. It's flavorful. I really like this nettle tea. The flavor is great with some honey. This is quality loose leaf tea and I would definitely recommend.

Earthy and grassy, takes some getting used to

This nettle tea is what I expected, it's very earthy and grassy, not a bad taste, just acquired. The flavour is grassy and mild, not bitter or sour, just very green tasting. I brew it for about 5 minutes and it comes out a light yellowish green. It's loose leaf so you need a strainer or infuser if you don't like the leaves in, the leaves are dried whole and look and feel good quality. It's a 75 gram pouch that lasts a while because you only need a small amount per cup. I've been drinking it a couple of times a week, usually in the afternoon. It's caffeine free so it works any time of day. I find it quite calming. The pouch seals well enough to keep it fresh. Fair value for money.

Nice packet of dust!!

So I was expecting proper nettle leaf judging by the picture on the advert. What turned up, I can only describe as, well, dust!! For the price you pay this is unacceptable!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is in this nettle tea?

Just whole nettle leaves, grown organically in the Parnonas mountains and dried with nothing added. Once dried, the leaves no longer sting, so you can handle and brew them like any other loose leaf tea.

What does nettle tea taste like?

Gentler than most people expect: green, grassy and smooth, with a clean finish. The Great Taste judges, who awarded it 1 star in 2026, described "a clean, natural, delicate flavour full of vegetable and grassy taste, which finishes with sweetness".

How do I brew nettle tea?

Use one to two teaspoons per cup, pour over hot water and steep for 5-7 minutes, then strain. Enjoy it hot, plain or with a slice of lemon.

Can I drink it iced or mix it with other herbs?

Yes. Let a brewed pot cool, then pour it over ice. Nettle also blends well with mint or lemon balm if you would like a brighter, fresher cup.

Where is the nettle grown, and is it organic?

It is grown in the Parnonas mountains of the Peloponnese, Greece, and is certified organic in the UK and EU.

How many cups does a 75g pouch make?

Dried nettle leaf is light. At roughly 1.5 g per cup (one to two teaspoons), the 75g resealable pouch makes about 50 cups, depending on how strong you like it.

How should I store nettle tea?

Keep the pouch tightly resealed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, so the leaves stay green and fragrant. The best before date is printed on the pack.

Is nettle tea caffeine-free, and can I drink it during pregnancy?

Yes, it is naturally caffeine-free, so it suits any time of day. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking medication, please check with your doctor or pharmacist before drinking herbal teas.
